We had made a weekly routine of SG-1 and Farscape when it was back on the air. We were along the for the Anubis ride, but it did change the storytelling style of the show, and so Season 8 and on we didn't enjoy as much. Just more from the perspective of it falling into a sort of rut around "the big bad", constant power escalation and macguffins, and dropping the side stories that existed to push the characters in interesting ways and present interesting ideas like the early seasons did.
We never really got into Atlantis as much, although we did watch the whole series, mostly because it had all the same problems. We just did a re-watch of SG-1, and haven't bothered with Atlantis. Universe was even harder to get into for me, and my partner didn't even bother after 6 episodes.
So, I'll watch it, and hope it's halfway decent, but I suspect that the time for shows like SG-1's early seasons has come and gone, unfortunately.
