Dark responses to health insurance CEO murder

Not comfortable with the anti-hero angle to all of this - but this is a side-effect of corporate greed. We absolutely do have a form of socialism in this country, and it benefits the corporations and wealthy.

I just saw Bashir Al-Assad fled Syria - people can only put up with your crap for so long. That’s a different set of circumstances, but still.

Greed cannot be infinite. It never ends well. Especially when it costs people their lives for no reason. In this country, nobody should have to die because of a lack of money.

Parallels are being made between the great depression and the folk hero status of people like Bonnie and Clyde, and John Dillinger.

Speaking of Trump making things better and great depression parallels, you know what many economists said helped lead to the great depression? Tariffs.

so, it turns out, based on his twitter posts, this dude is an Elon-loving “birthrate is too low” “woke mind virus is evil” “stop discriminating against men” guy. also thinks porn should be regulated, etc. (because too much porn prevents knocking up of the ladies).

Not what I’d expected, since I’m guess Elon has no problem with the insurance companies.

“It’s different when it’s me” disease, a chronic illness that affects most conservatives and conservative-adjacent folks.

People think Trump is going to do something about this? Good luck. Lots of folks who face a sudden illness or medical emergency with crap insurers are going to feel the squeeze of Trump rolling back regulations, trying to overturn the ACE and rewarding guys exactly like the one who was unfortunately gunned down, for being “great cutters”, whether it’s jobs or insurance claims.

Despite the shooter having mostly right-wing views and insensitive to mean comments about the shooting made by everybody from every political persuasion, the media and Republican politicians are desperately trying to blame it all on the left. Here’s the complete smoking gun proof of their view: He’s a college graduate.

It would appear that there is almost no political ideology involved here. The shooter had a serious back problem for which his insurer would not approve claims for coverage. He is 26, which means his parents' insurance is no longer obligated to cover him. Hence, in order to get adequate treatment for his back problem, his most viable option appears to be … prison.

Lack of coverage affects everyone across both parties. It's like those who either voted for Donald Trump or abstained to stop the war in Gaza, people as a whole are just so fucking stupid and go out of their way to make the worst possible decisions for their future.

Obama was the last person to try and while the ACA is pretty much toothless compared to every other developed nation in the world, at least he tried. The only changes Trump will make to it is to unravel it so CEOs like this one will make more money.

I'm waiting for the mainstream news to tell us the shooter was running around molesting Christian trans kids in an effort to turn everybody against him. It's not going to work. He could have spent the last week sleeping with everybody's partner and the universal response would still be "Meh, nobody's perfect."

Heard this second hand and file under “You couldn’t make this shit up”. Laura Ingraham had a segment on Fox News that was pretty much “It’s disgusting how many people are praising this cold blooded murderer!... In other news, Daniel Penny who killed a black man on a subway with a choke hold has been acquitted. Some are calling him a hero and we agree.”
