How are we feeling about iOS 26?

Was meh on it with my m1 air.

Upgraded to an M5 Pro with the official apple smart keyboard/stand thing.

i like. it works well, on this hardware seems performant and almost at laptop replacement capability for light duty stuff.

OK, now I am a half-step shy of livid. Before 26, I was using Mail, and it allowed "no remote content", but this version has removed/misplaced that option. I guess it is time for me to shop for a useful email app.

I used to funnel Gmail through the default mail app but eventually gave up on it and now use the Gmail app directly and it's way better IMO.

I got about 30 mins in with iOS 26 on Sunday on a relatives SE3 and oh my god do I hate it. (feels strong, but that was my 30 min takeaway.)

😠

This is software that actively makes me question my desire to use Apple moving forward. Alternatives are not great, granted.

It is stunning how many UI bugs, glitches and issues I was running into when moving around Accessibility to get things set up how she (my Aunt) likes it. She needs the text size bumped up just a couple clicks and it breaks things ALL over the UI.

😞

Still digging on it, no notable issues that fill anyone on this end with rage 🤣

Side note: scored the daughter her own iPad, new Air (256GB) with the most recent Apple MK, she's loving it :) Also donated the Pencil Pro from my iPP since that was mostly for her anyway.
