Props to Herdfan for the ride. I took a Jeep tour on some of those trails 20 years ago. The landscape is spectacular, but you have to be OK with bouncing around a lot and being at very odd angles that seem incompatible with the vehicle remaining upright. Not sure my back would stand it now!

Props to Herdfan for the ride. I took a Jeep tour on some of those trails 20 years ago. The landscape is spectacular, but you have to be OK with bouncing around a lot and being at very odd angles that seem incompatible with the vehicle remaining upright. Not sure my back would stand it now!

I did go on one of the Pink Jeep tours with my mom, booked in advance. Due to her age we took the least bumpy road option, but even then it was extremely bouncy. In Herdfan's ATV it was practically like driving on a paved road even on the bumpiest sections.

I did some research after the fact and in some states they are illegal to even handle. Oops. They also make terrible pets primarily because their diet is ants. Made me think there are times of the year we should probably keep a horny toad in our kitchen for pest control.
