Cancer Jeff Bridges announces he was diagnosed with lymphoma

Making the announcement on social media, Jeff Bridges discusses his lymphoma diagnosis. I've always been a huge fan and while this is sad news, his optimism has been inspiring and he's taking control of his own messaging. It was refreshing to hear it directly instead of through some media outlet. Hang in there, Jeff, you got this thing!

Wow, Alli, that must have been a really difficult time for both of you! At least you had each other to support and (unfortunately) an in-depth understanding of what the other was going through...... Was it the same type of cancer or two different ones?

I had breast cancer. The week after I completed chemo, and two weeks prior to my scheduled mastectomy, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I told him that was sweet of him. He put off treatment until after my surgery, and we both began radiation at the same time. Because he didn’t have to go through chemo, he had an extra month of rad.

It definitely brought us closer. And now we know that a month from my annual PETscan they’ll be calling him for his annual blood work and reach-around.
