Madeline Albright passed away

Madeline Albright, a woman that I truly admired has passed away. I can’t say that I agreed with everything, but she was nonetheless an incredible public servant. Her memoir is also a very interesting book. I’ve read it many years ago, I might re-read it.

Compared to the people we have nowadays, she certainly was a cut above.
Intelligence and thoughtfulness in short supply nowadays.

An impressive and formidable person.

Around twenty years ago, one of my students (who travelled to the US for research purposes) met her, and - as a gift to me - requested her to sign (autograph) a copy of her autobiography for me.
