Mail sucks. Not the Apple Mail.app, but the fundamental principle of e-mail in general. Once there is a widely-accepted replacement paradigm in place, T-Bird will become apocryphal.

Email has many downsides, but I don't think it's ever going to become obsolete. Most of the world heavily relies on email for one reason or another.

Mozilla Thunderbird has the advantage of being more than just an email client.
