Nuvia: don’t hold your breath

I think we can all agree battery rundowns are an excellent and practical way to test some power to a degree, even if we don’t know precisely what cores they are. As long as you know the actuak performance or that it’s not merely video, it’s worth something.

At any rate, the thread is for Nuvia so let’s try to stay a bit more on-topic.

I respect you and this forum and have gotten great enjoyment from being here. I don’t see why I should have to tolerate personal insults Eg: dumb, zealot etc, and racism or bigotry, eg anti-British insults. I think it’s intolerable.

The Zealot was first. I apologize to the forum. But as of today, I did not escalate this and really had no intention to. Can we shake hands and move on from this with our disagreement here?

Man, if making fun of British GDP and dysfunction is racist then a whole lot of Americans (that you wouldn’t expect) are racist as hell. Like, the entire upper crust of tech and finance people on Twitter, etc. We make fun of that like it’s a default. Be serious.

This is interesting. Only a 16GB option for the X Plus on the Inspiron (for now?). That kinda sucks.

I’lol say just one thing for now and leave till WWDC comes around?

There is a propaganda against Apple and a lack of scepticism around Qualcomm computers.

The only person that seems to figure out in the media is Ryan. You can’t cheat Anandtech chief editors.

I don’t trust Andri or Ian they got their biases. But Aanad(used to, as he works at Apple now) and Ryan are few people that are fair.

Hey, people can be against Apple on social media and spread false information but as long as Apple got that iPhone cash cow and is making bank. Apple’s is going no where and it will work behind the scenes to conjure the next M1 improvement.

( No I am not a total Apple fan boy, I am not not a fan Apple Legal business , The App Store review team and their stance on repairability. But I do like their hardware and software and their engineers.)

I disagree re the direction of propaganda, I think there is one single company and it’s not Apple, it’s not QC, and it’s not Intel, that has the worst hype trains, and everything else by 2024 is a joke.

On QC — if anything, everyone gets together to spit on Qualcomm and non-Apple Arm. They’re basically persecuted. I’m not kidding. the big fanboy fanbases are AMD/Intel/Nvidia and Apple. QC, MediaTek don’t have the same volunteering.

But, I do think there’s a huge tech push from big firms so reviews are important to check the Qualcomm/MS narratives, yeah, and I don’t fwiw think the X Elite is better than the M3 or really the M2 either due to E Cores and efficiency.

I think it’s the best Windows and soon Linux SoC for now and that’s it, but that’s a very understandable reason to be excited.

you shouldn’t. The preferred solution we have here for when you don’t like what someone is saying is you block them. Everyone makes mistakes, and we try not to let things escalate. We also try not to edit or delete posts. We don’t like taking moderation actions. We ask everyone to just try and get along, and, if you can’t, use “block.”
 
Have you seen Dave 2D comment section on the new surface video. People were not all judging Qualcomm or Microsoft pricing and SKUs.

I agree that some comments like 8GB ram is bad on a $1000+ laptop is definitely warranted ( Apple is stupid to do that in an AI era) but to say it’s the fastest CPU or core is not good. Statements like we beat the Mac from Satya.

The tide turned against Apple now. Let’s be honest people love to see Apple beaten or fail. They take Qualcomm and MS words as truth but not Apples.

They preach as tho it’s the best thing ever happened. We don’t see MacRumours staff or 9to5Mac and even the Android folks aren’t this obsessed. People like Zac, Tim Warren, Paul T and Jez etc are corporate writers.

I know many Macrumors staff but while they like Apple. They are critical of Apple when Apple launches a product.

What I wrote may seem like it’s “out there” but all stories that seem far out have a kernel of truth.
