I understand that transparency matters, especially when it comes to bots, etc. but one can also see Karma, length of time joined and other info as well.
However, what it's most commonly used for is to impeach someone for opinions they don't agree with. Instead of making their case, they dig up comment history to be used against you.
Ironically, when I posted this to the "Privacy" sub on Reddit it was widely panned and subsequently deleted by moderators.
