Rep. Matt Gaetz picked by Trump for AG; Resigns from Congress

The committee did not agree to release the report. I don't know what the vote was, but seeing as only one republican needed to side with dems on a committee evenly divided between republicans and democrats, my guess is that republicans fell in line to help Gaetz.

Whether it matters or not in the long run is anyone's guess. He is every bit as bad of a selection as Trump himself is for President, but republicans have absolutely no spine, are scared to death for whatever reason of Trump, and will fall in line and roll over with one tweet or scolding from their cult leader.

yes, it would not matter if it was released it would not stop trump. he will have all his loser picks. it will be the presidency of rape and racism and Putin.

I am not sure it matters, since a lot of the sexual matters were hacked and probably will be leaked. Even so, Gaetz will have to go through confirmation and this most likely that subject will come up again. My thought on this is that Trump is doing his usual business "negotiations" and has an idea of the person he wants in the office. So he comes up with someone way worse, until they are blocked and will say ok if not them how about option B (which is only slightly less despicable than Gaetz). Someone like Cannon.

Are you kidding? Having sex with underage girls doesn't even crack the top ten of the worst of their crimes in this political climate. They can do no wrong right now, the sooner we all accept that the better.

I wouldn't give him that much credit. I'm thinking it will be Gaetz until it isn't, and then if its not Gaetz, it could well be someone worse. Never expect better from this guy and his cult.

Up next - Dan Bongino for Secret Service Director (rumored at this point). At least he has experience, but he's a hothead.

trump can skip the confirmations. he is already attempting it. all his picks will make it period. there are loopholes for him to jump through to do so. but even then no republican is going to stand against him he has already eliminated those. hell, he has bypassed the FBI background checks.
