I used to think that in another 1000 years, when we're all the same colour of brown, it'll finally be over. Nope. Not unless we squash out prejudice beforehand.
People in Asia purposefully avoid the sun as they'll be shunned if their skin gets too dark. (the old caste system). Friends of mine here are always disappointed with the reactions they get when they go "back home" as they like to tan here.
