I’ve been watching the releases of different streaming services, and I’ve noticed something weird.
When Apple got into the market, they already had a product called Apple TV, so it made a bit of sense to call their streaming service Apple TV+. But why is the Disney streaming service called Disney+? Was there a Disney-non-plus that they’re adding to or improving on? Same thing with the new Paramount+…. I never happened to see the boring non-plus Paramount service I guess….
I guess ripping off Apple is a good strategy for any industry.
What will be the next thing to be nonsensically have a plus added to its name?
