I keep older devices too, still functioning and sometimes my guests can use it. But most of the time I keep it shut down , no Bluetooth no wifi. An iPad 10 doesn’t have any problems with its battery, even when it’s off loses 4 to 8 % of charge in one or two months. An iPhone 12 instead keep losing so much more , 30-40% in two -three weeksI use it to make custom emoji all the time. Nothing else.
Also I just went to make an appointment to get her iPhone 13 repaired (so I can keep it in the shoebox I call the “iPhone Museum” in my closet without a shattered back), and Apple offered to just send me a replacement phone instead. (I have apple care on it, at least until the replacement is done). That’s nice of them.
If the iphone 12 is powered off, it shouldn’t lose much battery life. Could be the battery just has a lot of use on it and is not able to hold a charge as well anymore.I keep older devices too, still functioning and sometimes my guests can use it. Do you know what should I deactivate? I know that Apple implemented something that I would like to turn it off
Do you know what it is?
Not going down this road with you. If you enjoy then more power to you.In what way is it invasive lol?
I’ve played with it, but I have no practical uses for it.Have you updates to 26.2 and tried PCC model in Shortcuts?
oh, i’ve seen plenty of examples. I just don’t have a need to do any of that stuff. I write my own apps when needed, and use conventional shortcuts for little things. If you have time, I'd recommend looking up Shortcuts YouTubers. They have plenty of examples I didn't even realize you could do stuff like what they demo
Oh, I know. I was just referring to most LLM stuff in general. My comment wasn't about "AI."
It was simply about using Apple's models to extend shortcuts.
I think if anyone here is invested in Siri and improving it, then it's worth paying attention to what Apple is doing with LLMs.
