New presidency. New thread. I thought we should possibly wait until he’s actually in office but he and a good part of the world seem to feel he is already running the country. So let’s begin.

On Truth Social he announced any proven investment of at least $1 billion in the US will have approval of their projects expedited including steamrolling over environmental concerns. That last part isn’t speculative. He mentioned environmental concerns specifically. “Steamroll over” are my words but we all know what he means. There’s no other way to translate it.

This is obviously the first of many government favors and handouts Trump will give to Musk. And it won't be about protecting the habitat of an endangered tree frog. It will be about increasing the allowable amount of chemicals dumped into the air and ground. But hey, at least we'll have something new in our drinking water to replace the flouride that will be removed and if you happen to live close to a Space X facility the launch views will be spectacular viewed through your 3 eyes.
 
Not listed are the mandatory “gratuities” - staying at Trump properties during their visits to the United States, premium membership fees to Mar-A-Lago, and “helping out” his family members and in-laws (or in-lawlessness’).

This should also be great at helping to fund kicking immigrants out of the country.

The Trump white house is going to be full of billionaires with official and unofficial government jobs who feel they still don’t have enough money so they’ll get busy increasing their wealth by fucking over the common voter who put Trump in office.

I heard Trump fired Lina Khan from the FTC. I haven’t found a second source to back this up but, regardless, he will fire her. She is widely praised by both Democrats and Republicans for successfully winning cases against corporations screwing people over. The only people who don’t like her are billionaires and other high wealth individuals who rely on screwing people over to increase their wealth and power.

Although it ultimately probably won’t accomplish much, I agree with others who have said during the cabinet post hearings every candidate should be asked if Trump can run again in 2028. I guarantee not one of them will say he can’t.

It’s debatable how much the trans issue contributed to his win but his campaign sure thought it was the most important issue in some regions. I’m not shocked or offended by his response on this now.

I just see it as one of many campaign issues that will be largely downgraded as the administration focuses almost entirely on increasing the wealth of the already wealthy. Even if he tanks the economy for most us in the process these people will still be doing great and will emerge out the other end with even more power while the rest of us have less rights and less wealth.

A president can only serve two terms, whether consecutive or not. I'm sure the GOP will do everything in their power to change that but for now it cannot be done.

Always a bad idea to smoke hopium when it comes to Trump, but I do wonder if he believes he’ll never be held legally accountable for anything in his past for the rest of his life and he no longer needs votes he’ll back off on pandering to the extremists on things like abortion, trans people, and Christian nationalism.

However, he’ll continue to redistribute more wealth to the people at the top and when that starts to make the masses angry it’s always the rightwing tactic to lean into social issues as a distraction which also works quite well on voters.

I said in another post that if Trump’s economic policies prove to be the predicted disaster a lot of Trump voters still won’t regret their vote because they’ll still feel it was the better option over a communist. But there will be a second layer of denial. “Meh, it was going to happen regardless of who is in office.” A lot of voters, including on the left, have given up on believing the government is going to do anything positive for them. So if they at least get some grievance retribution action out of it then it was still a good vote.

Hell even after 4 years he looked like he had aged 10. It's funny because every time my wife see's an image of someone who has aged and comments on it I always point out that is exactly what they would say about us. :ROFLMAO:

I myself am tired of trying to do the right thing, I want America to succeed but also hope the prices go up just because this moron will only get prices down by luck anyways, he’s dumber than shit and has no concept of anything beyond how to grift off of stupid people.

He said he’d get prices down fast. Now he’s saying it will be hard and prices won’t affect his presidency. How stupid is the average Trump voter?

Don Jr is currently leading the Republican polls for the 2028 nomination. So while the country may be done with Trump after this term, looks like the Republican Party will be anchored to them for the foreseeable future.

In defense of the Trumps and what they are, there’s no greater opportunity for grifting and extracting wealth to themselves then being in charge of the US. For now. Through their same efforts we’ll be downgraded to an economic shit hole country on the world stage. Given all their accufessions I’m surprised I missed this projection before now. The goal is to turn us into a shit hole country where we’re economic slaves to the wealth class. The only wall that will be completed is the one protecting their communities.

Assuming he makes it. Joe the President is 3 and a half years older than ShitGibbon: he will have to stay in office at least that long to become the oldest President in history.

I can envision CouchFucker attempting to pull off a 25A deposal, based on ShitGibbon being unfit, some time before 2026 ends. There will be a huge battle for the WH, which will end up in Congress. It will be entertaining to watch and terrifying to contemplate (because CouchFucker would be even more destructive than ShitGibbon).
