Well if you break 9 feet down to inches its only 108. 108 inches will definitely fit in that Jeep! We're giving away a 9 foot pool table that was here when we bought the place. For those who don't know much pool tables, well 9 feet is 9 feet. Plus a table that sized usually has a 1-inch think slate, and our does indeed have a 1-inch slate. So 9 foot tables can go from 1,000-1,500 pounds (according to Google). And again, 9 feet is really kind of 9 feet whether it's a pool table or a tree branch.
This was the first group of clowns to show up wanting the table. It's not obvious from this angle, but there's no trailer behind the SUV. I'm honestly not at all sure what the plan was. You can't just set it in the backseat. Even if they were prepared to disassemble it, where would the pieces go?

My experience as well. On the other hand, I've never personally tried to move a 9 foot, 1500 lbs pool table, either. I just assumed you could separate the parts.Slate will be in 3-4 pieces. Rest of the table will break down.
That was my first thought as well, except maybe with an arm coming out of the drivers window to "hold it down".
