I figured I'd create a separate thread for this, even though I don't know how many other people here also use AVP.
Some of the announced changes are welcomed. For example, I'll be able to unlock my iPhone without taking off the AVP, but it seems I'll still have to use the iPhone to make or take a call. It was disappointing that there's no Phone app like there will be on macOS.
The addition of widgets is also good, as is the ability to create folders, but it's unclear if it will be easier to arrange apps and folders. The sharing experience seems improved, but it's not going to be the same as multiple user profiles. And will Apple create AVP versions for more of its own apps, like Maps?
I've shied away from using Personas in meetings, but the example they showed looks greatly improved and much more lifelike. Still, using them for Zoom and Teams required third-party apps, so that needs to become easier.
