For sure. Pretty sure that’s where it will likely stay at least for now. Same reasons.

My ‘13 MP will remain in service as a Linux VM platform and as a NAS. Then most macOS security updates don’t matter. No inbound routing on my home network too (except through the Tailscale VPN).

So just bought an eBay e5-2667v2 (8 core, 3.3-4ghz) for it for $28 US



Am going to re do the thermal paste anyway so may as well upgrade while it’s apart.
