Nintendo Switch 2

Really hinges on "Do you want to play Nintendo games?"

Yeah, that's really it for us, the 1st party Nintendo games: Mario Kart, Zelda, Mario Party, we've played those so much, had so much fun playing together. :)

Looks like the preorders have been delayed, because, well, you know ...

Not a huge thing, this was intended as an Xmas gift, but hopefully N won't walk back on saying the price won't change.

First it was COVID, now it's tariffs. Nintendo can't seem to get a break.

Sorry that Trump has to infiltrate every thread with bad news but it's the world we live in now.

"Pre-orders for Nintendo Switch 2 in the U.S. will not start April 9, 2025 in order to assess the potential impact of tariffs and evolving market conditions. Nintendo will update timing at a later date. The launch date of June 5, 2025 is unchanged."

I feel a bit like Golum in lord of the rings.... "give it here my love, I wants the switch. I needs it."

Wonder if they will do a patched version of Zelda breadth of the wild for it or Tears of the Kingdom ?

well, since I arrived in florida last evening and was up anyway, i placed a preorder via walmart. I hope i don’t get in trouble with my wife.

Any additional charges from tariffs? I know it's finally hitting the Chinese drone maker market and prices are now astronomical.

no, they stuck to the announced price. They may raise it in the future, of course.

I went to buy an Anker powerbank the other day, and noticed it now costs 50% more than when I bought it a year ago. So tariffs are definitely kicking in.

Accessories cost more, games and system pricing stayed the same. Of course all subject to change.

I failed to get one on all the online options. Was successful going to GameStop in person and ordering one. Now to figure out if they are going to do a midnight launch and if I want to take my son to one.
