Photo of the Day - October 2021

I was hoping the leaves falling would make it in the pic but I guess they just vanished.

Ok, this is probably not what you think it is.

This is the moon, not the sun. It was very bright last night.

I have one of those too, we were walking the little G down to the bus stop, it's still dark here at 6:45 (can't wait for the time change), I shot this, it's not edited other than sized:

Wow, that's amazing... even steeper than a few runaway truck ramps I've seen over the years....

have not attempted it on the tandem. but we found one about that steep and just made it up with a crap ton of effort. we get up steep hills better now. if I go up that hill from our place its like 1.5 miles and a bit over 1000 feet of climbing.

For me, the problem would be not knowing what is on the other side of that steep climb......a very steep descending hill, too? That scares me more than the ascent part of climbing up the hill!

I was so happy this morning to see that we've got at least one Hooded Merganser back with us for this winter! Last year we had ten of them, so I'm guessing that the rest of the gang is around somewhere but I just haven't seen them yet.
