touch-me-nots. i used to love these as a kid, making the seed pods pop with the slightest touch. they are just as fun as an adult, although they aren't ready to burst yet.

.. love the shapes, colours, textures, et al of tree trunks - this one caught my eye on an early-morning walk in the neighbourhood recently - at my age, the slope to catch the view I wanted, was a touch of challenge with the shoes I was wearing at the time!!

We hit up a new bar/restaurant close to where the daughter is doing an internship a couple of days a week, hit the bar, got some amazing brussel sprouts (just an appetizer), and the drinks were excellent.

Another San Francisco street portrait of someone I hit up for a bit of conversation and a photo. She was friendly, but unlike every other person I've hit up for a photo, she didn't want to tell me her name. She does remind me of an actress from a long ago television series.
