I think my Tesla knows it’s headed for the scrapyard. Yesterday while driving on 280 I noticed the steering wheel knobs stopped working, and a minute later the dashboard froze - speedometer was stuck, turn signals didn’t work, etc. I had to reboot as I was driving. Fun.

And a couple days before that, the charging door started randomly opening when I was parked. And I keep getting phone notifications that one window is open, but it’s not.

They might. But the amount would probably be small enough that I wouldn’t notice it much, I imagine. I donated my last two cars, but this time I had thought about a trade-in and now I’m leaning against it.

App now says the car is in transport again (the BMW app is strange - the way it works is it tells you “at the port” then “in transit” then “at the port” and then “in transit” as it goes from the factory to the port in germany, then on the ship, then the port in the US, then the truck from the port to the dealer, and you need to keep track of whether you’ve already been “in transit” once or twice.)

Anyway, seems it must be on the carrier on its way up route 5 today. Probably will be reported “at the dealer” in the next couple of days, depending on whether it stops at other dealers along the way (which I doubt).

Did you or your wife get the cruise control package? Curious what you think, IMO it’s both more intuitive and user friendly than the Tesla.
