The Republican Agenda 2021 and Forward

I’d say that should be a message to any nation utilizing Starlink to find an alternative now, if they have the luxury. What good is it if not in times when it’s needed? You don’t want a petulant bored “frat bro” in his fifties threatening to take it away from you when you really need it. So consider it more as a tool to stream Netflix when camping in the desert and less of a national security tool.
There is nothing to suggest Elmo will threaten Ukraine with it a _third_ time…

My Japanese mother-in-law needs to change her status to widow with the Government since her veteran husband died and my wife was going to take her to Travis air force base to get it changed but they're afraid her mom will get deported.

She's a green card holder who has been here for 50 years, I told my wife it would probably be fine but they don't trust Trump in the slightest.

Colorado Stupid and Kid Somethingorother seem to be palling around. He broke off an 8-year (!) engagement to start going with her. We picture them in a scene like this:

As it's becoming increasingly apparent that voters in fact did not vote for "this", news articles and commentators are starting to say the quiet part out loud...Congressional Republicans can either piss off voters or piss off Trump. That says a lot. They've already decided Trump is king and should be treated accordingly. Some truly believe that and others are only going along due to the bullying and threats of violence which apparently nobody is doing a damn thing about.

Musk and Project 2025 essentially want the same end result but Musk's hamfisted sledgehammer of incompetence approach is turning it into a spectacle that can't be ignored and may turn it into a massive fail. Before he inserted himself the Project 2025 ghouls had a plan that would work slower behind the scenes and through the legal system. By their own admittance they believe this is a one time chance and it needs to be completed before the midterms.

I'd also argue the tax cuts for the wealthy that Trump is hellbent on steamrolling through Congress is going to cause a massive backlash, but these assholes are so greedy that they can't even pause the money grab for two years to first complete their project.

Trump won by about 3 million votes. There are currently about 80 million people on Medicaid. I’m no math surgeon, but by my estimate more than a handful of voters who voted for Trump or didn’t vote at all are going to get screwed by the Republican budget.

Technically Republicans in the house didn’t directly kill Medicaid. They just ordered the department it falls under where Medicaid is like 90% of the budget to make massive cuts.

Since they chose not to piss off the orange pope, does that mean they assume there will be no more voting in our future?
I think that is the ultimate goal of Shitler and Elonia. What scares me the most is no one is seemingly doing anything about it. Not just the Republicans, but the Democrats and the Judicial system. In the end there power will go away as well, why have a congress if the Laws are made up by a select few Men at the top?

I think they accurately determined that on their side of the isle they are either with the dictatorship or they have no political future.

Assuming the wheels don’t completely fall off, and there’s a good chance they will, I don’t think they have a political future regardless. They’ll either be taken out by voters or by MAGA violence.

Senator Roger Marshall held a "town hall" in bumfuck Oakley Kansas. It did not go so well.

A staffer complained that the event was "sabotaged by Democrat operatives". Because, a Republican US Senator only represents people from his own party, not those other scum, who drove halfway across the state just to make trouble.

(Oakley is just off I-70, about 35 miles east of the Colorado border.)

From the article about the Meeting with Zelensky.

“Most Americans want there to be a swift peace to this situation. Personally, I think we've done enough to help foreign conflicts,” Marshall said.

And yet Trump fast tracked 4 Billion to Israel this weekend.

Lots of lumber is going to be subject to tariffs. More costly homes. Soybean exports still haven’t recovered to pre-Trump tariff levels. When you force countries to stop buying as much of our exports, you risk losing business long term. It’s not like you end the tariffs and everything goes back to the way it was.

———-

It’s all a toss-up right now. And that’s what is unsettling here on the farm,” Shirbroun said. “It’s like, okay, we’re throwing all these balls in the air and we don’t know where we’re going to be as far as our soybean and corn markets.”

Trump draws strong support from farm states. And many here endorse his stated goals for tariffs of encouraging the return of lost factory jobs, striking back against “unfair” trading partners and raising government revenue. But the prospect of a trade war sequel has farmers — including those like the Shirbrouns, who voted for him — on edge.

You voted for a man who doesn’t think, told you he’d be doing what he did to screw over farmers again if he was re-elected, and thinks “tariffs” is the best word in the dictionary. You were warned. 🤷‍♂️

Oh good, the cavalcade of crooked cartoon cronies is in the house. We’ve got Trump’s loin-litter and ever-present in-laws, soaking up their importance via their proxy to Trump penis.

How many times will he 💩 himself at the lectern while rambling through his two hours of lies and gaslighting? I’m going to say four but if he gets agitated the count could go up.

There’s something unsettling about seeing a nimrod who somehow managed to convince people to storm the Capitol back in power. Americans are stupid, so I guess we have the poster child of stupidity to lead us. Makes sense, I suppose.

*Total crap show. I don’t know how people stomach Trump and his lies. His lies about social security were as bizarre and laughable that you have to hand it to him for the balls to say some of it. Just totally laughable garbage.

Felt more like watching the guy from the office doing standup than an elected official.

**I love how he tried to explain tariffs. Russian-level propaganda garbage. He’s not talking to democrats, he’s talking to his base, laying it on thick because the reality won’t match his promises, but he knows they’ll believe him.
