The Trump Indictment Thread

It's finally over. A Felon will now sit in the highest office.

One moment that gave me a smidge of satisfaction, because I know it hits to the core of who Trump is.
Judge Juan Merchan is speaking to Donald Trump and is noting that it’s the office of the presidency that is extraordinary, not the occupant of the office.

“It is the legal protections afforded to the office of the president of the United States that are extraordinary, not the occupant of the office,” he said.

From the way I read it though, how the Judge is doing it allows his appeal to proceed.

And while criticism of how Federal Courts have treated him has some merit, that cannot be said of the NYS Supreme Court. If they rule in his favor……..

I think the Judge is sentencing him before inauguration so he will take office as a convicted felon.

Yeah, it’s always someone else’s fault. Always. Every time, without fail. It’s a big conspiracy. Trump is never at fault - by default and on every issue. So therefore, logically speaking, it must be someone else’s fault he found himself making his title of convicted felon official today.

You do realize others got in trouble for this stuff, right? This cloak of BS plausible deniability Trumpers use is outrageous. Just point the finger at everyone for the crap on the walls, except the chimp over there throwing his crap everywhere for everyone to see.

Technically speaking, using the words NYS uses, the conviction was handed down by the state Supreme Court. There are state courts of appeal above it. Eventually it could work its way up to US federal courts of appeal and SCotUS, but it seems unlikely that he would pursue that, because there is not much to merit any appeal.
