I've concluded that Musk is substantially worse than Trump. Trump's grand project is Trump. Musk's is futurism with the belief that the vast majority of the global population is expendable and their only purpose should be toiling away at technological advancement. Anything that can distract from that purpose should be eliminated including anything close to a comfortable lifestyle for anybody not in his wealth class. Right now our government is being directed by an unelected South African with mental health and drug issues. There's nothing more blatant oligarch authoritarian than saying he'll use his vast wealth to get anybody not on board thrown out of office.

He has been the worse, even before he declared himself to be anti-woke.

Also technological advancements aren't going help him on Mars. He is going to need old world skills to get a colony on that planet, if we survive long enough. Blacksmiths, carpenters, general repairmen, all will be coveted skills.

Not only was his family onboard with the Nazis during the height of their power, but they later moved to South Africa specifically because they thought apartheid was awesome. To be clear, I’m ok with getting rid of the debt ceiling. But why is Trump, leader of the GOPers who have been on a BS and full of crap “mission” to stay under it (but only when a democrat is president) suddenly calling for it to be abolished?

Holy crap, President Musk and first golden girl Trump are going to make cat-herder (formerly speaker) Johnson’s life hell. GOOD. That’s even if he wins the speakership. The nutty lady with the accent said she’s not going to caucus with the GOP to avoid a circus, but is going to help President Musk’s “DOGE” group.

This is going to be a very entertaining next four years. The fun of watching the dysfunction and collective low-IQ of the house republicans may eclipse any anger I may feel.

I don't know if this only exists entirely on the right, but it's a really bizarre phenomenon to believe that when you are guilty of something the best course of action is to be the loudest voice in the room accusing others of doing it with righteous indignation. And they do it frequently and on everything. Now that I think about it we should probably include the accusatory term "mind virus" they love so much because that would explain a lot.
