spending your campaign money wrongly is a big deal. he will have to accounting for all of the gifting he has been doing now.Not a big enough deal however for the FEC or the DOJ to pursue.

According to whom? Not a big enough deal however for the FEC or the DOJ to pursue.
He won't be happy until someone dies, at that point maybe they will take him seriously and actually do something about it.this probably belongs in a different thread, but this thread is the most current one
When you lose Rupert (or Lachlan), you know you are in trouble.
According to whom?
The Federal Election Commission announced Thursday that it won't proceed with a case examining whether former President Trump violated election law in 2016 a hush-money payment made through his then-lawyer Michael Cohen.
They decided to not seek an indictment of Trump for several reasons, Honig writes, including the political ramifications and the fact that Trump’s other scandals, such as efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election and the January 6, 2021, insurrection, “made the campaign finance violations seem somehow trivial and outdated by comparison.”

Michael Cohen was convicted and sentenced for actions taken in cooperation with, under the direction of and for the benefit of Individual 1. But somehow Individual 1 is innocent. He didn't use campaign funds. The only reason it could be considered a campaign finance violation is that it might have created an improper "unreported assistance" to the Trump campaign.
Yeah, their ideology for his defense is getting laughable.Michael Cohen was convicted and sentenced for actions taken in cooperation with, under the direction of and for the benefit of Individual 1. But somehow Individual 1 is innocent.

The only one making it popcorn worthy was Trump and look at how he played every Republican out there over another line of total bullshit. I swear you've never seen a group of more gullible people.I didn't say he was innocent. I said he didn't use campaign funds.
And everyone might want to put the popcorn away for a while. The Grand Jury won't meet again until mid to late April.
And what was Cohen convicted of? Mainly tax evasion and lying on a loan application completely unrelated to Trump. The payment to Stormy was included, but wasn't the main focus of his conviction.
And I didn't say he used campaign funds, although with Trump's history of cheating who knows where the money came from. That's apparently not necessary to characterize what was done as a violation of campaign laws.I didn't say he was innocent. I said he didn't use campaign funds.

That was what he was charged with based on the deal to cooperate. Not because that was the only crime he committed on the behalf of Individual 1.And what was Cohen convicted of? This deserves its own thread, so I created one.Oh good.

It was a rope-a-dope by the DA's office that much is for sure but (nobody saw it coming it seems) it's hard to blame them as they (and this grand jury) were being targeted. Well played on their side.Well this didn’t age well. LOL.
