USA Election 2024

It's more of an indictment on the system. Not only did he not show up, but is continuing to break the law without a care in the world. Had that been any of us there would've been a warrant issued and we would be sitting in a cell somewhere.

The lesson is being that filthy rich pays off, it's that simple.
Our whole lives US Presidents have not been NOT held accountable. The only method is impeachment, and we know how that works with a divided Congress, at least not today. Back when Nixon got caught, Republicans were able to deal with it like adults. Now they’re just a bunch of quivering worms or co-conspirators. 😔

MAGA, keeping it classy.

Every time that man say something horrible, we hear "you're taking it wrong; that's not how he meant it". So what about these people? These people love him. They're on his side and have no incentive to make him look bad. They want him to win. Have they been taking his comments wrong too? From my perspective, it seems they're reading between the same lines we are and coming up with the same results we've been getting. It's not just us hearing crazy stuff spewing from his pie-hole. We're just the only ones outraged by it.

I wish people would stop telling us that we're not hearing what we're hearing. It's insulting.

Sped up for comedic effect. The highlight reel of this man’s political career will be epic.

I promise to not post this again. Today, at least. 😁

They know exactly what he’s saying or implying, and they eat it up. That includes the vile stuff made by others at his events, like the MSG rally. The lines about Puerto Rico and its people weren’t jokes to them. They expressed how they feel.

This may be copium on my part but typically it’s losing campaigns that leak the infighting like this.

Entering the final weekend of October, I noticed something in conversations with numerous Trump staffers: resignation. They had long since become accustomed to working in the high-intensity, zero-margin-for-error environment created by Wiles and LaCivita. But this home stretch of the campaign hadn’t just been hard and stressful; it had been disillusioning. Several campaign officials had told me, throughout the spring and summer, how excited they were about working in the next Trump White House. Now those same people were telling me—as paperwork was being distributed internally to begin the process of placing personnel on the transition team and in the prospective administration—that they’d had a change of heart. The past three months had been the most unpleasant of their careers. Win or lose, they said, they were done with the chaos of Donald Trump—even if the nation was not.

Wonderful. All these assholes working to elect a man they know isn’t fit to lead - I can’t think of detail low enough - never mind a country.

Oh and the person most responsible for connecting the campaign with some of the most vile and repugnant shit in the campaign like the Haitian immigrants and the “comedian” is some mid level staffer: Alex Bruesewitz in case that name ever comes up again.

What did David Axelrod say about Kamala Harris’ word salad again?

“When I say insane asylums, and then I say, Doctor Hannibal Lecter, does anybody know? They go crazy. They say, oh, he brings up these names out of— Well, that's genius. Right. Doctor Hannibal Lecter. There's nobody worse than him. Silence of the Lambs. Who the hell else would even remember that? I have a great memory, but they always hit me. I don't bring it up too much because they have to take such a— he brought up Hannibal Lecter. What does that have to do with this? What is it? It has everything to do with it, right? He was… So I've done something for you for you that I haven't done in 20 speeches. I brought up Doctor Hannibal Lecter and we're allowing him, you watch, you watch these fake people will say again, he brought up Hannibal Lecter has absolutely nothing to do. You know I do the weave, right? The weave. It's genius. You bring up Hannibal Lecter, you mention insane asylum. Hannibal Lecter. You go out, no. There'll be a time in life where the weave won't finish properly at the bottom and then we can talk. But right now it's pure genius. Hey, I have an uncle, my uncle, Uncle John, my father's brother, 41 years at MIT, longest serving professor has so many degrees, he didn't know what the hell to do with them all in the most complicated. I understand a lot of this stuff, you know, I believe in that. Like, I mean, Jack Nicklaus is not gonna produce a bad golfer. Right. You know, that's the way it works. It's just one of those things and it's in the family and it's whatever”

Harris is doing really well in states that she’s not supposed to win. Even if she doesn’t flip any states, I think this is a good sign for the swing states.

Fingers crossed that they've got some of the polling wrong, it's hard to overlook (and even understand) how close it is.

This article advances some ideas to explain the surprisingly close tie in the polls. I agree, based on increasingly poor response rates and the very large problem of getting a statistically sufficient pool of genuinely undecided voters in the swing states.

Based on nothing more than hunch I pick Harris for a comfortable win. (But hey, I’m often wrong - just ask my partner…).

*Harris will be on SNL tonight.

This is not really about Iowa, but the state of the race and how it translates to swing states. The mainstream media has a job to do, and they would be derelict in their duty to claim Harris will win. Nobody knows.

But this is really the kind of stuff I’ve been seeing for the last month. The news just has never been bad on the ground. Grassroots is more than having widespread word of mouth support. You still need to work. Some reports have the Harris operations knocking on as many as 1,000 doors per minute in PA. These things matter.

Trump putting his daughter-in-law and a lackey in charge of the RNC and allowing Musk to control the ground game will hurt him.

*Not an edited photo. It’s hard to tell if Trump is fist-pumping to the crowd or the empty bleachers full of dictator ghosts he’s blown.

The bottom gif is a live shot of the back of the arena in Greensboro when Trump was onstage.
