Trump is spending the waining days of his campaign exhausted, low-energy, and speaking to a near-empty crowd in what looks like a bingo hall or horse stable in Georgia.

The FCC’s equal time rule requires American radio and television stations to offer equal time to rival political candidates. However, the burden falls on the candidates to request those equal opportunities, and the agency’s policy on the rule states: “Equal opportunities generally means providing comparable time and placement to opposing candidates; it does not require a station to provide opposing candidates with programs identical to the initiating candidate.”

If all media channels combined ran nothing other than a Harris reality show for the past 6 months she’d still be lagging behind Trump. (and purposely lazy voters would still be saying "I just don’t know enough about her.")

It's OK, when people are dying by the thousands during the next pandemic, when my daughter can't get proper healthcare because she no longer has rights over her own body, when my family/friends are who in the LGBTQ community lose their basic liberties as US citizens, I'm sure a ride in an ATV will more than make up for it ...

Personally I have difficulty emphasizing with that particular point of view. Somehow I find the jackbooted thugs going after women and immigrants to be far more objectionable.

This could still blow up in everybody’s face, but I think these last minute attacks on Trump from corporations and the wealthy show that they no longer believe he can win. It wasn’t just about currying favor with Trump. He said explicitly he’d go after anybody in the ruling class who supported Harris.
The Iowa bombshell reinforces my impression that in this cycle, pollsters, even the ones I trust and respect, such as Nate Silver etc., have no idea what is going on.
Following some if their methodological discussions, it seems to me that their analyses depend on so many layers of (mostly well founded) adjustments and filters that they are simply too far removed from the raw data. Even if the individual adjustment choices make sense, the cumulative effect of stacking so many on top of each other is just asking for the end effect to be all over the place, or, as seems to be happening, ending up in dead heats.
So we may well end up in a massive blowout, which would be great if the right candidate wins - but is also the perfect storm precursor for unprecedented post election fallout - hopefully not in the literal sense.

I think we're seeing a lot of good news trending but my concern is it's creating apathy just before election day. This is not in the bag, I'm hoping everyone gets out and votes.
