USA Election 2024

Hope those posts aren’t fake.

They're not, at least in the context of the accounts aren't bots, they have histories, clearly human authored posts for over a year. I mean, sure, I guess the actual account owners could be making fabricated posts, but they seem to be engaging and they seem to be pretty earnest in their "turn" for this election cycle. People are SICK of this MF-er, he's a disease, he has no policies, he's basically a placeholder for Vance anyway, the senile old orange turd would be about 12 months away from a 25th Amendment execution.
Reddit is a pretty good source for credible information, but you have to consider it's very left leaning there so you'll never really see both sides of an issue, unless they're making fun of MAGA. IMO it can be misleading when it comes to the bigger picture.

If Harris does well tonight, you may see Trump act even faster than last year to speed up his lies and rile up the rubes. Steve Bannon, already due another trial for bilking Trump supporters for a phony border wall fund, has announced he will be returning to the “war room” at the Willard Hotel to flesh out his next redneck coup plot.

*I voted straight ticket dem and didn’t even fill in the bubble next to uncontested republicans because not a one of them is an anti-Trumper. Being moderate isn’t good enough. If you cannot condemn Trumpism - which let’s face it, should be the easiest fucking thing in the world to do - then I will not consider voting for you. Period. I used to vote for sane republicans all the time. No more, there aren’t any.

They know exactly what he’s saying or implying, and they eat it up. That includes the vile stuff made by others at his events, like the MSG rally. The lines about Puerto Rico and its people weren’t jokes to them. They expressed how they feel.
I frequently hear Trump servicing going on at the gym and it’s most discouraging because it comes from people who otherwise look normal until they open their freaking mouths to reveal what’s inside them. The idea of the working class being grounded, sober, responsible? Hardly, a bunch of selfish, racist, pie in the sky Koolaid drinkers. 😔 OK, to be fair, they are all not like this, but way too many are.

I think it's just a good sampling of people's perspective this cycle (there are endless examples of the same from multiple sources), they're really just sick of trump. My ILs, one of who definitely (going to assume both?) voted trump in 2016 (I'll forgive it as a "let's try something different"), and while they never disclosed their votes for the '20 election, they have both been very vocal about NO MORE, and were saying just this past week, without any prompting - yes, we are both voting for Harris.

There's a house up on the corner of A1A (big monstrosity), they've been flying a 2020, then a 2024 trump flag for months and months, and about the time the whole purple heart thing hit, it was gone. The bar keeps getting lowered, there's only a few reasons left, a few groups remaining who are voting for trump, and well, they can carp about "policy", but that's not the reason.

Unfortunately today, the Republican label is a disqualifier from running for office.

But you'll never see a pro Trump post that makes any traction or the front page, ever, and if someone tried they would be downvoted into oblivion. I agree that people are sick of him but at the same time half of the country still supports him and the fact that we'll never see that on Reddit shows how Liberal it is there. That said, I personally find it a nice safe haven from MAGA and their hate.
