Yes.Are you still in California?
Yes.Are you still in California?
And not just your country I’m afraidIronically, this ignorant and baseless comment holds just as much weight as that of a scientist who actually studies climate change, and social media ensures it gets out to the masses unchecked.
This is how much we've dumbed down this country.
Stay safe!Yes.
It's happening all over the world, sadlyOur PG&E bill was over $600 again because Newsom and the (Liberal) CA congress have approved 6 PG&E rate hikes in 2024 alone, all while their CEO got bonuses in the amount of $17 million. If we want to criticize him, this is one thing he deserves if for.
I don't care what party is in charge, the people have no representation right now.
No fact checking allowed but at least they could respond.
Problem is both comments are half true.
The Oregon trucks WERE stopped and had to pass a DOT safety inspection performed by CAL FIRE and some were detained overnight waiting on parts. Had they not been able to get parts, they might not have gotten those trucks in. So partially true.
As for the reply, it mentions nothing about being stopped for the DOT inspection as if nothing at all happened.
LA Wildfires: Out-of-state fire trucks did get inspected. But not for emissions tests
A social media post made rounds saying Oregon fire trucks were going to be turned away due to emissions. But that claim is false.www.abc10.com
The problem with many fact checkers is they would look at the original comment and say FALSE and not provide any context such as them being stopped for the DOT inspection.
People were upset the checks slowed the response of the out-of-state firefighters to get to the front lines, and others accused Cal Fire of running emissions tests. Law says those accusations are NOT true.
“Absolutely no emission testing, no emission certifications were looked at. That is completely false,” Law said.
A social media post also circulated saying Oregon fire trucks were going to be turned away due to emissions.
"No vehicles were turned away. All of the 216 vehicles we inspected did make their way down south,” Law said.
Never said it was.So making sure these trucks didn't have bald tires and not leak oil is a bad thing? DoT rules should apply to first responders no matter what state you are in.
Department of Transportation rules apply to any state you are in. If 29 failed to meet those standards then its on the town(s) in Oregon that failed to keep up with the maintenance. It might be in the best interest of any state to keep their first responders safe.Never said it was.
I do have to wonder how they were allowed to drive on Oregon or Washington roads with 20 year old bald tires. Those places get rain.
Problem is both comments are half true.
That's "half truth" to you?
The problem with you people is that you have an extremely selective perception of symmetry and asymmetry.
