Probably a good idea:

I generally don't watch award shows unless my BIL is nominated (and then I just record it), but realize some people do.

Also,

Great idea, but might be a bit too soon. Anyone remember watching the OG Live Aid concert from the mid-80's?

Apparently there have been a couple more since that one. No planes damaged this time.

I get people wanting to see their homes and if they made it or not, but got to be smarter about it.
It's mostly opportunists looking for likes on social media and the online community is eviscerating them for it, to their credit.

So you think they are looking for clicks and not their homes. That makes it so much worse.
No, I'm saying that it's not homeowners flying the drones, it's just locals who always fly drones in LA looking to beef up their social media accounts. I mean there may be homeowners among them but I'm sure not many if at all, they have very strict rules over the area.

This is where it pays to know the rules, in reality these manned aircrafts are flying super low into airspace that drones typically fly in because they're making drops, etc, this is why the put up a No Fly Zone (or temporary flight restriction). You are literally occupying the airspace they're using for emergency services and it's extremely reckless.

To put it into perspective, when I fly for clients around events, people, other aircraft, etc. I have to fill out a shitload of paperwork for waivers, wait for weeks for approval and then fly on the exact designated dates and times. These people couldn't care less and just throw their drones up on a whim but if the FAA gets a hold of them they'll get fined thousands and could end up in a short term stint in jail, hope it's worth a few hundred likes.
