LA Wildfires

"The" 5 is what southern Californians call it. In Eric's neighborhood, it is called "I-5" or "5", even when using the southern stretches.

Yes they do. The 5, the 10, the 405, the 605. Pick an interstate number and put a "the" in front of it.

They also do it with the Loops here in Phoenix, but not the Interstates. The 101, 202 and the 303. What's weird about Phoenix is there are no interstate loops or bypasses. They are state roads, not US highways. Other than I-10 and I-17, Phoenix has no other interstates. You can pick up I-19 south of town into Tucson, but it is quite south of town.

Interesting regional dialect. MA definitely has their own as well, but we don't put "the" in front of our highways and byways.

Times have changed I suspect. Just like get coffee is now "get a coffee". What if I want two coffees? Pretentious Californians need to stop assuming what I want!

Mr HUHA is complaining about how they need to turn the valve back to send more water to LA. Newsome worked with Joe the President to develop a water plan that would protect smelt and salmon while managing water usage from northern rivers, but HUHA wants to revert to his old policy, which actually sends less water to LA, but it was his way so it must be better.

("HUHA" refers to cranial placement)
