I read somewhere that even if Tesla were to go to $0, it still wouldn't mess with his net worth (well much) since SpaceX exists. Which could only go out of business if the government stopped using it for satellite launches. Since they seem to be the least expensive choice thus far for launches, I'm not sure how quickly that could happen.
