Ron DeSantis: What in the ever loving fuck is wrong with him?

I think I would call it a draw. Disney lost control of the RCID, but got favorable appointments in the government run district.

So it was all a show and business as usual is back to normal. The money will continue flowing into the correct coffers and everyone is happy again. A draw is definitely is, though I’m sure DeSantis will claim credit and that this is in spite of Biden’s “American-crushing policies”, not because of them. Good thing Florida has opted out of infrastructure spending and will be fully self-funding all infrastructure improvement with their own tax dollars. 😂 Would be a real shame if that infrastructure bill helped improve the roads and travel down there while all this Disney cash is being spread around.

You have to wonder why they each pulled their lawsuits against each other. I’m not going to theorize, but for a crowd that loves juicy conspiracies based on far less evidence than we have here, you do have to wonder.

Pretty much.

Because Disney is a business and DeSantis is a politician and neither side was looking good. So they went into a room and quietly kissed and made up.

I think Disney realized they will far outlive tin pot dictator DeSantis and it isn’t worth further time and money. You have to wonder what will happen to him after he’s no longer governor. By all accounts nobody likes him on a personal level and he has nowhere near the charisma Trump has. At best he’s a tool of the far right but that’s only because he’s the tool they’re currently stuck with.

DeSantis signs bill making it legal to kill ‘crack bears’ in self-defense

The actual bill, according to that article, sounds quite sane. Then he has to start throwing around "crack bears" and comes off sounding like a loon.

It's like a law against shooting people. That seems like a good idea. But then you back it up with "...because we don't want our streets filled with ghosts". 🤷‍♂️

Leave off the fact that bears live in the mountains. Florida has no mountains, none at all. It is very flat, rising to no more than 345' (right on the Alabama border). The only bears you would ever see in Florida are in zoos, and they are going to stay there, because, food.

In other words, even if this bill reads sanely, it is still ridiculous because it addresses a non-problem.

Many maps do show wild bears in Florida, including black bears. I think it's mostly the old ones who go there for the warm weather, so maybe they hang out in retirement communities like Casa del Ursa.

But DeSantis can always use a sharpie to draw a bear migration path from the West to Florida if that's not enough.

You are talking about the soros backed black bear known for the menorah shaped hair pattern on its back. It’s known for gorging on discarded trans literature which explains the growing population in Florida. Instead of hibernating it migrates to warmer climates in order to stay woke year around.

“They break your door down and they’re standing in your living room growling and tearing your house apart,”

911, what's your emergency?
There's a dead bear in my living room.
Turn up the A/C.
It's on the fritz.
I'll get Sam's butcher shop right out there.

State-funded Visit Florida tourist board reminds visitors that they are always welcome in Sunshine State. Unless they're LGBTQ
Gov. Ron DeSantis chimed in from a law enforcement press conference in Polk County as the meeting was happening.
“We're open to all,” he said. “But we're not going to be segregating people by these different characteristics. That's not how we've done business and any of the things that we've done.”
That despite dedicated travel pages still up for African American and Hispanic travelers.
For the Bay area travel blogger who first noticed the page was deleted, Rachel Covello says the state is missing out on even more tourism money.

The purpose of whistle blower protection laws that I guess don’t cover the State level? And what possible grounds does he have for being fired? Are Florida State employees “at will” hired?
