Still he follows the narrative that he's only defending Russia and that the "common west" forced Russia into the war

They haven’t actually arrived in battle for the most part, as stated in the article they’re still in Russia and even if for show ten thousand + extra bodies plus the widening of the war is bad. It also completely destroys the idiotic policies of escalation management that have been pursued in the West, including by the Biden administration … or at least it should.

I find it hard to wrap my head around being a visibly alien person in a place where you do not speak anything like the language, have basically no idea where anything is and have to avoid Russians and their sympathizers, on pain of a summary death. It must be a terrifying situation.

Easy, Russia - even today - probably looks like a literal paradise compared to the worship of another man as if he’s god, all day, everyday, everywhere, at all times. Literal hell on earth, I’d imagine.

As more and more Russians are killed in battle, the North Koreans will slide in and just take over Russia. Who’s worse, Kim or Putin?

Russia has a population 5.5 times NK’s. What’s more concerning is that this pull in more conflict zones. The South Koreans will rightly see the North becoming an active combatant as a threat. This could pull in Asia and with a Trump-Vance presidency abandoning our allies and interests things could get so very much worse.
 
"North korean troops in Ukraine" I'm really cautious about this rumor. Let's wait and see if this proofs true. Also, i'm curious what function they would execute on Ukraine's battlefield.

Remember in September, we were told about Iran supplying russia with ballistic missiles. Haven't heard of any validation ever since.

They’re not in Ukraine, yet. They’re in Russia and this isn’t a journalist’s source but an official statement by the Seoul government (with Ukrainian confirmation). Naturally it can be wrong or the intentions misunderstood, but they have video of the NK troops inside known Russian training camps. Also, Washington confirmed that Iran sent short range ballistic missiles, with sources to Reuters giving a possible wrinkle:

 
Have any current NK troops ever fought in some battle I'm unaware of? Sounds suicidal if not.
 

But North Korea’s ability to help make up Russia’s numbers could cause Ukraine more problems, said Jack Watling, a senior research fellow for land warfare at the Royal United Services Institute.
“They might have quite good cohesion. They might have reasonable morale. They might be able to operate at a scale that the Russians struggle to [achieve],” Watling said. “It’s a pretty low bar to be better than what the Russians have at the moment.”

The troops being sent to Russia are from North Korea’s Eleventh Army, an elite unit known as the “Storm Corps”, according to South Korea’s National Intelligence Service.
“These are not ordinary North Korean soldiers, most of whom are never given adequate combat training,” said Go Myong-hyun, a senior fellow at South Korea’s state-affiliated Institute of National Security Strategy in Seoul. “These are well-equipped, highly trained mobile light infantry.”

While of course the true test is battle, if there are any good soldiers in the NK Army, these are them.
