MSNBC is covering Trump’s speech, which I think is a good thing. They need to see this klan rally in action. It’s actually the coward wing of the klan, the ones who share the same racist, isolationist ideology but don’t have the courage to wear swastikas or pointy hats.

*Now that we know Musk also worked in the US illegally, I’d almost wish Harris would post something insane about how Musk should be arrested and have his worth stripped and returned to taxpayers. I wonder how the press would treat that vs. Trump, who has posted hundreds or thousands of such insane things.

Vance is such an utter PoS, I cannot stomach him. Fact is, he is more polished and a better bullshitter than the ShitGibbon. He makes the evil seem more palatable (to ordinary people), which is not a thing to be OK with.

Jadey Couchboy has a certain amount of competence and is capable of developing political skill in ways that have been totally beyond the ShitGibbon for nearly two decades. ShitGibbon is an utter baffoon, which has been his saving grace. He sodomized SCotUS (with the help of the turtle) but most of the stuff he tried to accomplish turned into a 2-week clusterfuck.

Honestly, ShitGibbon's narcissism and incompetence are what saved us from much worse outcomes, whereas Jadey might actually be abhe to make very bad shit happen. In that respect, he is a much more horrifying prospect.

Either way, it is the supreme court that matters. Get a Republican, any Republican, into the WH and we are completely screwed.

Amen. I get where Eric is coming from, I don’t disagree. I’d settle for someone who isn’t a disgusting pig. But as you say, Vance knows better (and has publicly said better). That makes it even more vile. He’s pretending, he’s the literal definition of the lying, opportunistic, big money billionaire-backed smiling white guy in a suit who chucks out his values as soon as he can make a name and a buck. It’s the most confounding part of MAGA. Look at who they think will purge the deep state - the NY east coast elitist billionaire who suddenly at nearly 70 discovered he was really a conservative, a billionaire immigrant and a billionaire-backed liar who said one thing on Monday and is now saying something different on Tuesday.

Please tell me more about Kamala backtracking on f*cking fracking while Vance is backtracking on Hitler. America’s Hitler. Political heroine. Or how they’re out of touch, while Trump and the world’s richest person who didn’t even grow up in America are the ones who “get them”. 🙄

But on the positive side, I think his rally was more about rallying the troops for the loss ahead. There is the news media, and then there are the nerds who really look at the data. The democratic nerds seem excited. They are breaking down the data, comparing it to other elections.. I’m feeling optimistic. I do not believe the Trump campaign is running as if they are winning. Their bravado means nothing, but I do not believe this is the campaign of someone appealing to voters or who feels confident in a win. This is a campaign that needs and wants chaos to keep the grift going as long as possible.

I’ve maintained all along Trump will lose, call me stubborn, I’m not stopping a week out. Americans didnt kick this dipshit out of office and put an old reliable antique in there just to put the fat dipshit back again. The Trump campaign is good at never admitting weakness or defeat, I’m not buying it. I’ll panick after the votes are counted, and maybe if it shakes out right, I won’t have to panick at all.

*During my usual rant, I forgot my original intent - that unfunny clown who told the joke about Puerto Rico prompted the artist Bad Bunny to post this to his 45 million followers… also, Rick Scott had to condemn the “joke” - he running in Florida and all. Amazing how they can be on the ball when they may be affected.

I may have been polled a few times recently, but it has never gotten to the point of questions. If the number is unfamiliar, I answer with a couple seconds of silence (since that is what I hear) and then say "I guess nobody's there," and hang up. Sometimes I hear somebody as I am hanging up, but if the call starts with dead silence, I figure it must have been robo-dialed, and those calls do not interest me.

The other calls I hate are the ones that start out "Hi <my first name>, this is Justin, I am calling you about …" – yeah, no, you are not. I am old-fashioned: strangers are not entitled to address me in that manner (it is usually going to be an attempted shakedown).
 
The average MAGA alpha male would probably lay one on Trump more passionately than this. I guess the payment didn’t include a kiss on the lips - keep in mind one speaker referred to Harris as having “pimps” when you see this arranged marriage fascist-f****r pretending to be Trump’s bride.

It seems possible—probable, even—that Trump was alluding to putting in play the plan his people tried in 2020. That plan was to create enough chaos over the certification of electoral votes in the states to throw the election into the House of Representatives. There, each state delegation gets a single vote, so if the Republicans have control of more states than the Democrats, Trump could pull out a victory even if he had dramatically lost the popular vote.

Since he has made virtually no effort to win votes in 2024, this seems his likely plan.

But to do that, he needs at least a plausibly close election, or at least to convince his supporters that the election has been stolen from him. Tonight’s rally badly hurt that plan.
Meanwhile, the decision of the owners of the Los Angeles Times and the Washington Post not to endorse Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris seems to have sparked a backlash. As Will Bunch of the Philadelphia Inquirer noted, “in a strange way the papers did perform a public service: showing American voters what life under a dictator would feel like.”

At this late date I don't think Trump's MSG rally is going to make much of a difference, might even gain him more votes than he loses because the Nick Fuentes of the world have been on an active campaign against Trump because he's not been Nazi enough. Well, here you go, friend.

Best summary of this election: All the rules apply to Harris. No rules apply to Trump.

Similarly, Musk's black and white MAGA hat using a font type popular amongst Nazis, Fraktur (though eventually Nazi Germany would ban its use because of how illegible the fucking thing is despite it being the official script for a lot of early Nazi material). I'm sure they would defend it just as "trolling", but yeah ... such "humor" is a giant red flag to the white supremacy/Nazi bull. And they know it.

There’s speculation about Harris not going on the Rogan podcast because he refused to have her on or she declined. As much as I see Rogan as a shill for the tech fascists, I’m inclined to believe she declined to go on. For one thing his shows tend to go on for 2-3 hours and I don’t think she has the stamina, and nor should she have to. Trump is a legendary long winded blowhard. Fascists generally are and honestly thats the only “work” they feel they need to do or are willing to do. Actual work is for losers.

Also no doubt such a long interview would be full of statements the right would exploit to the fullest. Like I said above, all rules apply to Harris, none to Trump.

I’m undecided on if that was the right decision.
