USA Election 2024

There’s speculation about Harris not going on the Rogan podcast because he refused to have her on or she declined. As much as I see Rogan as a shill for the tech fascists, I’m inclined to believe she declined to go on. For one thing his shows tend to go on for 2-3 hours and I don’t think she has the stamina, and nor should she have to. Trump is a legendary long winded blowhard. Fascists generally are and honestly thats the only “work” they feel they need to do or are willing to do. Actual work is for losers.

Also no doubt such a long interview would be full of statements the right would exploit to the fullest. Like I said above, all rules apply to Harris, none to Trump.

I’m undecided on if that was the right decision.

Rogan is a Trump shill. I don’t care if he’s endorsed him or not, treating him like a sane adult and sanitizing his garbage is enough. He asked Trump to describe his first day in office and how it differed from his expectations. Rogan admitted he didn’t get an answer, but instead of framing it correctly - Trump is stupid and can’t stay on topic to save his life - he instead said “Trump takes you on this journey…”

Give me a break. He’s rambling. There is no journey.

I really don’t care to see any politician running for office talk for three full hours, you’re going to get political answers from 99% of them, and you’ll get even less from Trump because he gets a pass regardless of what he says. I guarantee if Harris talked about wanting to be a whale psychologist as Trump did, the interview is too long. And Rogan wouldn’t be grading her on the curve like he does Trump.

@Clix Pix and everyone who unsubscribed from the Washington Post : I’m rethinking if it’s a good idea and going back on my steps.

So between the ballot burning

Here is what I don't understand about the ballot burning as it relates to Trump. These are solid Blue areas AND states. He isn't winning Washington OR Oregon no matter how many ballots get burned.

Now if this has been in a deep Blue area of a swing state like Austin, Charlotte, Atlanta, Phoenix, Detroit etc I could see it possibly helping Trump. But Washington and Oregon, nope.

Do endorsements really have the sway they used to? Not sure they do.

Rumor is that she couldn't have any control over what was going to happen, so she declined. Probably as positive for her to skip it.

Ok, so I don't remember how many pages were filled with comments regarding Harris's interview with Bret Baier, but it has been quite quiet regarding her interview with Anderson Cooper. But I can give you some quotes from CNN's analyst over how it went.

Scott Jennings: Kamala is a double threat because she can't answer anything

Tapper: She spent most of her time talking about Trump.

Dana Bash: Kamala did not close the deal.

David Urban: Kamala lost a one person debate.

And my two favorite since most here think criticisms of her word salads are made up by the right:

David Axelrod: She is word salad city.

Van Jones: The word salad stuff gets on my nerves.

And these are people who support her.

An advantage for Trump is he gives zero fucks if something he says gets taken the wrong (or usually right) way and causes controversy. He welcomes it and sometimes is used to distract like the near total focus on his debate performance being distilled down to immigrants eating pets. It became about that and not him.

The Republiopaths are doubling down on sewer living. This is ShitGibbon made to look like British dirtbag Jimmy Saville, using his catchphrase "Jimmy will fix it".

They are trying to show us that they will be able to win by going even lower.

Decipher this sentence for me.

"One thing I have been — even the enemy, because they are the enemy — what they've said, even that enemy too, and they're really the enemy.

This is a projected critique. Your guy is a dense chicklef*ck and you know full-on well that if you had to take a loan out, Harris’ speech pattern wouldn’t even register with you and you’d be asking the branch manager for her instead of some guy who - in any other context - would be dismissed as having a head full of festering garbage. I know it, you know it too.

This is like complaining Kamala always blows the big moment and then cheering this…

If Trump wins, this board will be sick of me joking that “it was the Hogan endorsement that did it.”

The free market is taking care of this one from the looks of it.

Over 200,000 subscribers flee 'Washington Post' after Bezos blocks Harris endorsement

Good.

I love WaPo and actually think Bezos did great until now. Very disciplined in their reporting. Bezos also did not appear to edit content critical of him, Amazon, etc.

This was a beyond stupid move. Democracy dies in darkness? Yeah, and silence too baldo.

I guess it’s easier to not give a crap when getting citizenship to another country is just a minor inconvenience.

Yeah, even if they were to endorse Trump you have to let them endorse, this was really stupid on his part. There's speculation that Bezos is afraid Trump will retaliate if he should win and it's believable to me, he seems like a weak minded person.

How many people do you think are actually affected daily by illegal immigrants vs. big corporations and greedy billionaires? It’s a simple question but one worth thinking about. It should take the average person about two seconds and the average MAGA voter 9 years and counting.

Until yesterday he was going to stay out of it, there are over half a million Latinos in PA, and most are Puerto Rican.
Megastar Bad Bunny posted Harris’ video message pledging to work to create more jobs on the island and rebuild its rickety power grid to his 45 million Instagram followers, and other Puerto Rican artists followed suit.

Because Democrat votes are being destroyed. Whether a blue state or not, it affects total number of Dem votes and is flat out wrong. Or cheating or both. Or just on principle.

Can you imagine how MAGA would respond if this was done in a red state? They'd lose their shit.

Strictly speaking that’s exactly what happened with the editorial. And at least one editor did in fact resign.

Bezos is signaling to Trump that they won't be a major issue for him should he win, as has been the history of corporations and the wealthy when they get signals that fascism or authoritarianism might take over. At the end of the day all they care about is their wealth and connected power which will do just fine under this new arrangement. The people unsubscribing is meaningless against the bigger picture, like a rock thrown at a tank. The only slight comfort is history won't look fondly on these people.
