Subscribed to Max for 2 months to catch up. The Last of US Season 2 , The Guilded Age Season 2 are on the list. Any suggestions? :)

I can’t resist, I am compelled to start Station Eleven. Have you ever been mesmerized by a story? This is post- apocalyptic, but unlike The Walking Dead, this focuses on the positive aspect of humanity, not the dog eat dog aspect. It’s so good. Cinematic art..

Station Eleven was fantastic from start to finish.

Stick on Apple TV+ gets better as it goes. First two eps are all setup, pretty predictable stuff but it’s a fun, breezy show, nice escapism.

White Lotus Season 3 (HBO) based in Thailand is pleasing, did not disappoint…me. 😁 The caveat is it’s not for everyone, not everyone will love this, but I’ll argue that if you’re into humanity, intriguing human interaction and drama, intertwined with excellent writing it’s worth a view. It’s brilliant with sadness, tragedy, human failings, strength, redemption, and a touch of Buddhism. The entire cast is outstanding. Side note: Ar-nold’s son (Patrick Schwarzenegger) is in this and does a good job. This season’s story has a direct connection to last season.

Too Much on Netflix. First two episodes were really good, this is one of the best shows I’ve watched in awhile. Beware, it’s created by Lena Dunham, who not everyone loves. She makes great TV, though.

First two episodes of what?

I think I’ve watched the last 4 Marc Maron specials. I enjoy his podcast, but always felt his standup was decent, but not my favorite. This latest one, Panicked on HBO Max, is the best thing I’ve seen him do. Pretty impressive for him to be in his 60s and getting better, IMO.

2nd season of “Wednesday”. We re-watched the first season, which did not live up to memory, but was ok. The new season is also ok, but just 2.5 episodes in.

“A few years ago I had to put my puppy down by shooting it in the face, because sometimes doing what’s important means doing what’s hard,”

"Noem" on South Park.

We actually had to do that with my cat Smokey on the farm. He was foaming at the mouth - so you actually CAN'T shoot them in the head, as you have to send the brain away to be tested. :( Turned out it wasn't rabies, but he likely got into something poisonous that would have killed him anyways. At least, that's what I tell myself.

You can't screw around with rabies when you have a farm - you're quarantined until the results come back....and if they're positive, you continue to be quarantined for several weeks (can't ship / receive animals) to ensure none of your livestock show any signs of being infected.
