Apple Watch X improvements could include magnetic bands

Apple may be preparing a big refresh of the Apple Watch as early as 2024, a report claims, with changes to the design potentially reworking how bands are attached to the wearable device.

Supposedly the straps may change so they attach by magnets, allowing more room for battery in the watch. If so, I imagine the system would be similar to how it is now, but instead of little buttons with springs on the back side, the magnets would hold and align the straps centered in grooves. It would be unlikely that the only thing holding the strap is a magnet.

Agreed. Otherwise, say goodbye to using the Apple Watch on the ocean. Which is something that Apple has been promoting lately.
