Funny you say that. That's how we do things and just yesterday our connection between Azure and Auth0 broke. Since that's our parent company, we can't do anything till they fix it. So I temporarily removed the code that applies to groups and replaced it with a list of approved users. Fortunately it's just the admin site so there are only 18 users to hard-code. That took about 15 minutes to work around. And now the system is usable while we wait for our ticket to be resolved.

Yes, it's sloppy. When our connection is fixed, we'll go back to the group option. With a hard-coded list you have to maintain the list. With groups, it's automatic. It's the sensible solution. At least for our use case.

So the main site is fine, but the admin site was down. I did have SharePoint issues last week, but those were resolved. And if it helps, I work for a health insurance company.

Got it. Yeah I am a retired SP engineer who has had to deal with Azure, AD, groups, GPO, etc for much of my career and when you said admin site I thought it could be the case. The particular issue you mention haunts SP on a regular basis.

As for Musk, if I could get rid of my Tesla without taking a bath I would. It sounds like it's hurting the company all the way around.
