In a recent tweet, a former Apple employee claimed that the tech behemoth conducted a full-scale operation to extract people, including her grandmother, from the turmoil in Kharkiv in 2023. Turns out, Tim Cook really is the master of logistics - be it of any kind.

Russian total losses to date are estimated to be almost 700k. Hard to imagine a lot of Russians going "worth it!", but I'm not Russian.

The Ukrainians and the Europeans will have something to say about that (though some in the EU will likely abandon the Ukrainians as well now). Having said that, the US is a large percentage of their ammunition supply. As Ukraine becomes desperate to survive while a despot’s forces ground them down, this war will get far worse. The only consolation is that the Russians themselves are in poor shape. A victory here may be incomplete and pyrrhic. That doesn’t help the Ukrainians much. The Biden administration badly erred putting so many unnecessary restrictions on the Ukrainians and themselves. But even that might not have been enough.
I wonder if Poland will consider more drastic measures?

Yep, this pretty much seals the deal, I'll be surprised if Trump doesn't send Russia more troops TBH.
In response to your comment, Scholz has apparently declared a no-confidence vote. This could lead to a slightly more aggressive German involvement in the war IF the CDU win and IF the AFD don’t make too many inroads. But who knows?
But yes, Poland, Czechia, France, the Baltics, the Nordics, the Dutch, maybe the Germans could make life very uncomfortable for Russia in Ukraine.
Hopefully one day we’ll get an accounting for why the Biden administration was so self-restrictive and hesitant in its decision making with respect to arms to Ukraine. Maybe there was a good rationale but from the outside, it made little sense.
