The Democrat agenda 2022 and going forward

That only helps if he actually listens to him. Doesn’t seem anyone in the last cycle did.

I don't think Axelrod was anyone's strategist/advisor during the last election. He sure helped Obama win over McCain in 2008. By a margin of almost 200 electoral votes over McCain.

I think Buttigieg would be a good listener and value Axelrod's insight and experience.

I love the guy but he's way too nice to ever make it in this country. Values and decency are not things the American people want anything to do with. I know I'm sour on things right now but Trump and those who voted for him have shaken my last ounce of faith in anything to do with this fucked up country.

I wouldn’t mind Tim Walz. He’ll be not much older than Harris was, he’s smart as hell and speaks eloquently but in plain language…

And the fact Walz is back in the mix this early and not hiding away in MN shows he got the guts to get in front of cameras.

He’s also not nice to Donald Trump, which I love. He’d be a good running mate again too, though I understand if dems don’t want to run someone who was already on a losing ticket. It’s not a dealbreaker for me though.

*Any democrat with name recognition should be doing this. If republicans can get away with leaving their district and wearing matching suits to their criminal candidate’s court dates and condone intimidating judges, then democrats can easily get away with skipping work for a day to show up to a red district and talk to voters about the impact their rep’s behavior has on their lives.

“There’s nothing conservative about a South African nepo-baby firing people at the VA…”

Schumer had to cancel his book tour because apparently it was news to him that passing the budget and asking for nothing in return would piss a lot of people off. My question is why did he think now is a good time for a book tour in the first place? I was unaware of a poll showing that one of the things that voters want from Congressional Democrats more than anything right now is book tours.

Spineless and useless, same with Pelosi. The old guard needs to go before anyone will be able to mount any semblance of a rebound.

I haven't researched this enough... but apparently during a government shutdown, the executive (ie trump) would have full power and authority to do whatever during that period.

Schumer: “Under a shutdown, the Trump administration would have full authority to deem whole agencies, programs and personnel nonessential, furloughing staff with no promise that they would ever be rehired”

“If government were to shut down, Doge has a plan in place to exploit the crisis for maximum destruction. A shutdown will allow Doge to shift into overdrive. It would give Donald Trump and Doge the keys to the city, state and country. Donald Trump and Elon Musk would be free to destroy vital government services at a much faster rate than they can right now and over a much broader field of destruction that they would render.”

Possible or likely? I don't know, not being expert on the matter. I'd sure want the experts to game that out ahead of time if it were possible.

I say they should have been given the opportunity. Let them destroy whatever they want and the people will rise in more force.

Not sure how that would matter, he's doing exactly that anyway. We need to stop thinking in terms of what's right or what's legal because none of that matters anymore. Bullies only ever understand force and if nobody is willing to actually hit him back he'll just keep walking all over everything and everyone.

The difference is he'd be able to do it much faster, playing into stephen miller's strategy of flooding the zone. With zero pushback. Not sure about judicial orders, which he ignores anyway.

Nothing says “democracy is on the line” like a book tour.

Wait, you mean to say Democrats are a bunch of spineless whiners?

The Democratic party has never been more out of touch with their constituency.

in terms of policy or willingness to fight the GOP?

I know from your post after this one that they dont seem willing to fight. Let me say I do understand why this would upset you. For decades (basically since Reagan left office) the GOP was in the same position. They would roll over and cave.

And this is in no small part why Trump is popular. He is willing to fight. He takes it too far sometimes and also starts fights when he doesn’t need to, but he is willing to and the people recognize that.

Dems need a pitbull.

No, Trump is mean and spiteful and he is popular with his followers because they are mean and spiteful.

He's not wrong that he's a fighter though. He's also a rapist, a felon conman who bankrupts casinos and is costing every Republican who voted for him more money out of pocket with all the tariffs. Funny, we don't hear any outrage about that though. I'm sure had a Democrat had the same first 2 months they would've been A okay with it though, right Herd?

Also, he's not just another New Yorker, if any of them had committed the same crimes he did they would be in prison right now.

That is so ridiculous. They pushed through with their Contract on America, they impeached Clinton (though convicting has always been too high a bar), they made steady, relentless regress toward their goals and have dragged the overton window into the sewer, where Jimmy Carter is now considered just short of being a Leninist. If you call that "caving", it sounds like you are having difficulty with what words mean.

Additionally, Obama is a good example of someone who can kick ass without the need to be a relentless bully asshole to everyone. Trump is a "fighter" who likes to beat on those a lot weaker than he is, nobody can deny that.

Sorry, you may be 100% correct on the past, but your valid grievances still don’t explain this dumbass granny-looking dimwit. There is NOTHING about him that is a “fighter”. He whines and cries and lies and dabbles in spineless “plausible deniability” racism, sexism and bigotry. He’s as verifiably dumb as the day is long, and if his inane ranting, toilet tweets, lack of knowledge on literally every topic imaginable, blatant criminality, hypocrisy and general dumbassery speak to something that conservatives need to hear, I’m glad to have left the party before he even came onto the scene and was still a boring “guest celebrity” on all sorts of random shows.

Trump is NOT a fighter. He’s probably golfing with taxpayer-covered guards whom he’s charging at his private club, while YOU do the fighting.

I could say I’m sick of the democrats and give you a ton of true reasons, none of that would explain if I went out and voted for Kanye West or Nick Fuentes. Or anyone who had them over for dinner.
