The Republican Agenda 2021 and Forward

Musk's mother on how to be properly poor.

Fake libertarian Rand Paul’s perm fumes are affecting his brain.

Elon Musk is already president, why become Speaker? Musk will have far more pulling Trump and the GOP strings from the outside, padding his wallet, decreasing regulation and funneling taxpayer money to his companies without being under the oversight of the same people he’s controlling. Win/win for him. Who the hell would want the job of Speaker in today’s GOP?

Yes, nobody personifies principles, ethics and values like worshiping a man with 6 bankruptcies, 92 felony indictments, who sired 5 children from 3 different wives who were all cheated on.

"Conservatives" – so, what are Republicans? Because they are obviously not Conservatives, based on that description.

People on the right get to reverse define any term they see fit starting with TDS originally used for people in the cult and then quickly changed to people who aren’t, through to dumb which now means people who are highly informed apparently.

A major pillar of the southern strategy was signaling to white voters that no matter how bad things got they'd still be better off economically and socially than black people and that strategy worked. Fast forward to the early 21st century and white people no longer perceived themselves as doing better than black (or any non-white) people and they got mad and we got MAGA. Fast forward to 2024 and we have the Republican President's 2 top advisers, immigrants, telling white people they are too retarded to be trained for skilled jobs which is the same accusation whites hurled at black people for most of the south's history. It's not the predicted violent retribution they thought would happen after the slaves were freed but its still gotta sting a bit.

What was that about Democrats disrespecting and looking down on you? Or this is another case of respecting the authentic honesty in words you can understand? Maybe you're only retarded because of vaccines. Go with that.

Oh, damn! She has always been one of my favorite cartoonists -- she nails her points so precisely and leaves no question in anyone's mind about her thinking. I hate that she has resigned but I don't blame her a bit. On the other hand, this one really does hit too close to home.....

Edited to add link to her own article in Substack:

Just spent some time reading all of the comments in response to the somewhat buried article on The Washington Post about this situation.... The majority of the comments are wholly on Ann's side and not hesitating to point out the many flaws in the way the original submission of the cartoon was handled and the subsequent weak excuses why it was not published in the paper. Needless to say this whole thing did not and does not sit well with many of the Post's subscribers (some of whom will soon be non-subscribers) and there were a lot of mutterings about how indeed "democracy [does] die in darkness." That darkness has definitely fallen upon us.....
