There’s a silver lining. People like Vought sincerely believe this is their last possible chance to pull this thing off but between incompetence, infighting, and overreach they will most likely fail. This whole project offers nothing positive for the American people and is entirely about concentrating even more wealth and power in the people who already have most of it. They don’t want you to have health care. They don’t want you to have a good education. They don’t want you to have a living wage. They don’t want you to have workers rights. They don’t want women to have control of their own bodies or futures. They don't care if you become homeless as a result of any of this. There’s absolutely nothing to look forward to. We’re not going to deport ourselves into prosperity and attempting to remove ourselves from the global economy will have severe economic consequences. Close to 75% of the total US population didn’t sign up for this shit and a good percentage of ignorant supporters didn’t know this is what they signed up for either. Unless they can somehow successfully police state 300 million+ people their whole project is fucked.

It is a horrible idea. While I think Hunter’s pardon would be left alone, if Biden preemptively pardons others who have not been charged with a crime, it may end up in the courts, ergo SCOTUS.

What if SCOTUS then rules that you must actually have been charged with a crime for a pardon, then Hunter is then only protected for the 2 crimes he has been charged with. Does Joe really want to take this chance with his son?

SCotUS is already losing ground and has been for several years. They are currently regarded as lackeys for the "king". When their rulings start to go seriously over-the-line (moreso than they already have been), people will increasingly lose respect for the rule of law and the country will sink farther into chaos.
