The Republican Agenda 2021 and Forward

Once again a good chunk of the Republican Congress is not just refusing to do their job but also have their job exactly wrong. “The President gets the cabinet he wants.” No, he doesn’t and it’s specifically YOUR job to prevent him from doing exactly what he’s attempting to do, surround himself with unqualified yes men. Every single one of his first round (and probably second and third) picks has an ax to grind against society, the government, and progress. Their prime motivator is growing their personal power and wealth. They give zero fucks about the American people and only care about who they can punish. If they happen to actually do something that helps the American people it’s just a collateral side effect and wasn’t the intended purpose of their action.

And I’m tired of the “they have qualifications” apologists. If you took 1,000 qualified people they would rank #1,000 on the list. If this was a company you were running none of them would be on your short or even long list, including Trump.

You've thrown out every aspect of law and order for the last 4 years to protect your orange and now you want to apply it to your apple. The hypocrisy over the last month has been off the charts man and no way I'm letting you off the hook, expect to be called out every time.

I think you are misunderstanding the SCOTUS ruling. While Biden can’t get in trouble for official acts, it doesn’t mean the acts he commits are unchallengeable.

He simply can’t get in trouble for them.

Suddenly "we're" the ones who don't understand the ruling. Man the next 4 years are going to suck for you guys trying to defend all the shitty policies you've put into place, Dems may have lost but now we just get to sit back and watch you guys flail like this for a while. It's sort of fun really.

Well I’ll make you a deal.

Get @Cmaier to answer the question if the SCOTUS ruling on Presidential Immunity means Official Acts can no longer be challenged.

If he says I am wrong, I won’t post in any political thread until 2025.

If I am correct, you simply have to label your own post as Misinformation until 2025.

Since such a large portion of your posts are either misinformation or flat out lies (whether born out of stubborn hypocrisy or plain ignorance I can't say) he has chosen to simply ignore you, a saner option than most of us choose TBH.

See above. Besides we've slapped you with the truth so many times here I'm surprised you're ever able to come up for air. In regards to being labeled misinformation we would've broken that function from overuse on your posts years ago if I chose to keep up on it.

I have heard that, but he seems to reply to enough of them that I am not sure the Ignore function actually works.
Just like MR back in the day, you can choose to "show" things that are hidden when you want. He's just being selective, more of us should follow his lead lol.

We see how well challenging official acts worked for prosecuting Trump. He won another term and gets all his federal cases dropped, and he’s unlikely to ever stand trial for them. Two different major federal criminal cases, poof.

As for the pre-emptive pardons and what it means to Bidens’s legacy, why the f*** should Anthony Fauci or Liz Cheney be charged for anything? Fauci deserved his medal of freedom. He doesn’t deserve to be criminally lynched by a bunch of trailer trash rednecks and prosecuted. It’s a damn sad day in this country when non-partisan people who do good work are caught in the crosshairs of this stupid political war where everyone has their own sets of facts and data. It’s preposterous.

There’s also a fundamental misunderstanding by these simp rubes of how science, data and probability works. A pandemic hitting our country requires constant gathering of information, pouring over the data and numbers and re-assessing as you go along.

The idea that masks don’t work or vaccines don’t work is as dumb of an argument as I’ve ever heard, yet it’s a very popular stance that stupid people take. It’s as dumb as saying condoms don’t work because they sometimes fail, or that aspirin don’t work because I still had a headache after taking one, or because 1 person out of a 100 had a bad side effect.

Again, go listen to Kash Patel interviews (along with congressional republicans and hundreds of thousands if not millions of Trump supporters online) and then explain why keeping people who did NOTHING wrong out of the vindictive crosshairs of these unqualified ass-kissers doesn’t make sense. It makes a lot of sense. I’m not for it in general, but this is a symptom of Trumpism, not Biden.

The party of "law and order".

WWE sexual abuse lawsuit naming Trump education secretary pick Linda McMahon is paused

The Vince McMahon investigation for sex trafficking is probably winding down as we speak.

She’s also wholly unqualified. Don’t get me wrong, Linda has served in his admin and transition team, and has been around politics a long time (she failed twice to win a senate seat from Connecticut). Having her as small business manager made sense, her business acumen with Vince in early WWE was critical to its success - she was all about intellectual property, which was fairly new in wrestling at the time. That ended up launching copyrighted “characters” and licensing deals.

That doesn’t make her qualified for education secretary. Being good at baseball doesn’t mean you can be a linebacker. And yes, the optics of this case alone should have disqualified her.

Businesses can lower their profits, close their doors, or raise their prices. It’s a real mystery which they will choose. But hey, if they do have to go out of business it will at least be the result of the US government and not the Chinese. America! There’s nothing more patriotic than bankruptcy court.

Oddly enough, I’m looking forward to January 20th. Gonna get real, hopefully those single-issue voters who vote with their wallet are prepared. You really ARE voting with your pocketbook this time!

On a side note, Biden looks like he shaved off five years from his age since he announced his departure from public office.

Trump said we are the only country that has birthright citizenship.

This is true if you don't include Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Barbados, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chad, Child, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Fiji, Grenada, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Jamaica, Lesotho, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Tanzania, Trinidad and Tobago, Tuvalu, Uruguay, and Venezuela.

Perhaps he should have used some of his favorite best words and said "non shithole" country, but I'm sure the Lindsey Grahams of the country will come out and say everybody knows he meant non shithole country.

Musk’s net worth on the rise. I’m sure he stands to gain nothing these next four years as he does the public’s interest.

And I’m sure we’ll have to hear from the same people who complained about the price of eggs how Elon and Trump “gave up” a life of peace and luxury to serve their country.

If Musk is serious about cutting, just get the GOP congress creeps to stay home without pay and replace them with these rubber-stamps for the Trump agenda.
