She is the one who had an affair with the prosecutor she hired. Absent that it would be going to trial before the election.

If that were important, there would be no Republicans in office. Why is it only important when it’s not a Republican?
That’s cause they think appearance of impropriety is bad, but actual impropriety isn’t.

He will lose the election and then he will certainly be tried. He will never make these things go away, best he can hope for is a republican governor to pardon him.

If he does lose the rest of his life will be fraught with trials and litigation so you get why he's doing his best to take office and snuff it out. It will be a sad way to go out.

not sure if they would want him as he would be just a burden. he was useful as president but without that he is just a pathetic conman.

In Trump’s defense, these cases are rigged against him by his own guilty actions. Maybe he can find a way to warp the 5th in that he doesn’t have to say anything that could incriminate himself but also include any evidence of his guilt can’t be presented in court. Then the partisan asshats in the Supreme Court can go “Oh, that’s novel! We should hear arguments on that in 3 years.”
