Trump 2: Electric Fuckyougaloo

I almost feel bad for rural and small town MAGA. The whole reason they rose up is because they felt they were getting economically screwed by the government and elites. Now they're going to get screwed even harder by their elite god king. Brutal. But that's the good faith argument. I'm open to the possibility that they are just in fact misogynist racists and more than happy to take a bigger economic hit because of all the Ws they are scoring with attacks on minorities, women, and trans people.
 
There's a few hopeful signs out there. I saw a video posted by a long haul driver who is well acquainted with rural America and their roads. He said over the last couple weeks there's a distinct lack of pro Trump signs where there were many before. Given the passion for the MAGA project I doubt people would be removing their signs just because the election is over. There was another video posted by a man who said his wife works with a couple vocal MAGA bros. Normally she just ignores them or leaves the room when possible, but recently she stayed put because she overheard them complaining about Trump at great length on how he hasn't done anything about prices and is doing things they didn't vote for like the Golf of America and talking about invading Panama.
 
There is no way for Trump to punish blue states without punishing his supporters too. He’s drunk on power trying to do too much, too fast with an inept conman and Elon musk doing who knows what. I don’t see that alliance lasting the duration of Trump’s term.

This is a mess. Trump has always been an egomaniac, but now he’s trying to situate himself to be Putin or Kim Jong Un with elaborate worship ceremonies and an appetite than can only be satiated by consolidation of power and ordering his minions around.

Very pathetic and embarrassing to watch him try to adult.
 
According to the people behind "the economy" the dow has tumbled because people are concerned about tariffs. Must be nice to live in a world where the only thing you believe is concerning right now is tariffs.

What's really pathetic is now that he wants to be a card carrying member of the axis of evil he thinks his co-dictators are going to see him as an equal. "Hey fellas, have I oppressed my own people enough yet?!" They know he's a cheap date idiot and they'll just keep plowing through with their plans to remove the dominance of the US and the dollar from the world stage, and thanks to Trump a lot of our until this week allies agree with them.

~80% of the stock market are institutional investors according to Investopedia (for whatever that is worth). Of course the big concern of institutional investors would be tariffs right now.

Bad choice even if the “pro-cop until they get a traffic ticket” crowd think otherwise. Bad cops cost cities - and thus the taxpayers - hundreds of millions of dollars a year. One of the easiest and best things they can do from hiring the wrong hothead is by being able to see their job history. You would think in 2025 this would be common sense, it protects the police force, unions and elected sheriffs in the process.

This has nothing to do with public safety and everything to do with identity politcs.

I’ve also noticed Trump seems to be dabbling a lot in censorship now - don’t say the wrong thing or I’ll try to withhold funding. Don’t write bad things about me or you can’t come to the press conferences.

Tell me how this is better than woke culture? It isn’t, because one is government censorship of the people, and the other is the people deciding for themselves what they do and don’t want to see or hear. Boycotting an advertiser is not the same as Trump banning a credible journalist.
