As to why I am posting less, I will post something and there will be one or two posts debating the issue and then it will devolve into Trump’s a fascist or Musk is a Nazi.

On Musk let me quote Stephen Fry, because he is much more intelligent than I am: "Musk is not a Nazi, Nazis made really good cars."

As for Trump being a fascist, here is the definition of fascism from Wikipedia:
Fascism is a far-right, authoritarian, and ultranationalist political ideology and movement, characterized by a dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, militarism, forcible suppression of opposition, belief in a natural social hierarchy, subordination of individual interests for the perceived good of the nation or race, and strong regimentation of society and the economy.

Let's break down the characterization:

• dictatorial leader: Trump literally said "I want to be a dictator on day one". People interpret this as a joke, but even when Sean Hannity gave him the chance to say so, he just repeated it. Also, Trump is clearly infatuated with dictators like Vladimir Putin or Kim Jong Un (who wrote him a beautiful letter, which held into a camera at almost any opportunity, and apparently was one of the documents he took with him when he left office). Additionally, Trump complained that his generals didn't just behave like Hitler's generals.
• centralized autocracy: The Trump administration has already fired or is still firing the watchdogs who should monitor what the administation is doing. Additionally, he is ignoring decisions by judges. He's basically getting rid off or ignoring all checks and balances and thinks he has the absolute power.
• militarism: Trump wanted to have a military parade during his first term really badly (I'm wondering if he'll get one this time). Do you know who did or still does military parades? Nazi Germany, Russia, North Korea, and China.
• forcible suppression of opposition: The Trump administration is removing foreign students that have criticised Trump and claim that their visas have expired. They also forbade pro-Paslestina demonstrations. Trump is also threatening to remove the broadcast licenses of well-established new media (of course not the right-wing propaganda media).
• belief in a natural social hierarchy: Trump is trying to get rid off all non-white aliens (the really white ones or the ones with a lot of money are OK, for example Elon Musk).
• subordination of individual interests for the perceived good of the nation or race: Just one word: abortions.
• strong regimentation of society and the economy: While the GOP might always claim that they are for a free market and less regimentation, I'd say Trump's tariffs are indeed a strong regimentation of the economy.

Now it's your turn to tell us why Trump is not a fascist.
I won't hold my breath, because every time someone is listing actual arguments, you chicken out!
