For people on the right Republican lies give them worldview validation feel good vibes. Nobody delivers the validation lies better than Trump. On top of that is a belief that fucking over a group of people I'm not part of by default makes my life better. There's very little Trump will do that doesn't have a component of fucking over a group of people and for whatever reason his supporters are incapable of seeing they are clearly part of the group getting fucked over until it happens...the political overdose they thought only happened to other people.

Granted. But fentanyl is agnostic: just about anyone who receives a proper dose will be affected in basically the same way (unless they are allergic). If half the population are affected by ShitGibbon one way and the other half the opposite way, he is not like fentanyl. (Or, it could be that allergy to him is pervasive.)
