USA Election 2024

So far she's keeping her head above water, acting more like a polished politician and successfully skirting the the typical gotcha questions. She could go into the lion's den at Fox News but the biggest question is does she have to, so far the answer is no.

Here’s an article I almost couldn’t get through, because it pretends Trump actually has “policy positions” on these issues. He doesn’t, in most cases.

BTW, this is also more proof of his ties to Project 2025. It’s almost a joke to call them “ties”, this is a Trump fan-fiction policy plan, inspired by him and for him.

Republicans are pissed, because she keeps stealing their stuff.

My comment was more geared to when the Republicans killed the immigration bill (which highly favored their demands) months ago I don’t recall any articles saying how they no longer support a border wall based on that action which is the equivalent of the Harris flipflop they are accusing her of. Republicans being unaccountable hypocritical assholes is now given a free pass by default.

It reminds me of a scene in South Park when one of the kids answered a question in class and Mr Mackey responded with "OK, can we now hear from somebody who isn't a complete moron?" and just moved on. That's the kind of indifference we've allowed the Republican party because the media needs to make all actions and views seem fair and equal.

To prove your point with a vengeance:

There we go, right from the start— Harris's plan is far more detailed, and as the next paragraphs show an actual plan, but...

BOTH SIDES!

And then the article goes off the rails.

Mr. Trump’s plan is garnering even more doubt. He pledges to deport undocumented immigrants, which could cut back temporarily on housing demand but would also most likely cut into the construction work force and eventually limit new housing supply. His other ideas include lowering interest rates, something that he has no direct control over and that is poised to happen anyway.
Yeah. Deporting people is actually a way to solve housing! Okay, there are doubts about it, but it's a plan.

Right out of the pages of Slavery was a jobs program.

The interview was pretty much what I expected. Bash had about 40 minutes and wasted time by asking about Trump's inane claim that Harris "turned Black" recently and by trying to show Walz isn't believable because he used the term IVF instead of IUI. Then there was the standard stupid question about what Harris would do on her first day in office. Yeah, Dana, she's going to implement key parts of her plans in her initial 24 hours. Even her question about Harris' stance on Gaza didn't make sense. Did Bash really expect Harris to say she'll put more pressure on Netanyahu by withholding weapons when she's still Biden's VP?

Apparently this is getting worse (better?). He’s attacking the Trump campaign daily and promises to unleash his (incel) soldiers with counter programming against Trump because he isn’t far right enough. His latest Tweet called JD Vance Jeb Bush 2. JD isn’t far right or passionately racist enough for him either and I’m sure a big part of that comes from the fact that his wife isn’t white.

I’m going to speculate that he feels Trump is going to lose and when that happens he’s going to take all the credit for it because his followers didn’t vote for Trump and that was enough to decide the election.

Encouraging:

With some insider connections Adam Kinzinger shared why some of the more prominent former Republican politicians haven’t weighed in, much to the disappointment of some. They’re now making good money in the private sector and depending on what the job is making public political statements or endorsing either candidate could damage their new career. Some of the biggest disappointment is aimed at military officials who dealt directly with Trump but refuse to state how he is unfit to lead. It’s as if they are more scared of MAGA than enemy combatants in war.

This is as good a place as any to share. I’ve discovered a news site that tells you whether an article leans left, right, or is pretty much center. https://ground.news/ I think you’ll all appreciate how it works.

I've been using the app for a while. I also like how there's a section dedicated to stories that one side pretty much isn't covering at all.

I have been wondering where Romney and Bush stand on this. Even if they couldn't outright endorse Harris for party reasons, they could say something like. "I cannot in good conscience vote for Trump, so I am going to sit this one out." That would be enough of a non-endorsement, endorsement.

Their staffers already have and many endorse Harris:

Ari Melber threatened Cory Lewandowski with a defamation suit live on the air. Was a joy to watch Melber shut this guy down and press him for dodging questions. Do you have any doubt these guys are liars?

Interviewing that guy is fucking pointless.

Trump being accused of rambling is really bothering him, hes defending himself from the accusation on the campaign trail by going on rants about ranting. He claimed nobody knows Harris’ last name, that nobody knows “who the hell she is”.

The stuff he’s reposting is mentally unstable uncle-level stuff, and his speeches aren’t much better.

Mentally infirm and deranged, his lies sometimes silence the crowd as they try to humor his narcissism and unbelievable whoppers.
