Gaetz has filed his motion to oust McCarthy. Democrats have a decision to make, and some leverage.
Vote present and allow McCarthy to remain speaker? Or vote against him? We could be in a situation similar to January. The way out is for McCarthy and sane republicans to join democrats and start governing. However, can democrats negotiate with someone who is untrustworthy?
He’s still blaming democrats for the near-shutdown; more democrats voted for HIS stopgap measure than republicans. Democrats could have voted no if they acted like republicans, and shut down the government. We are facing the same situation again, and McCarthy can’t stick to a deal. How about using this as an opportunity to shut up the clowns? Bipartisanship shouldn’t be the exception.
